Independent web design · Belfast

Belfast web design. A website that feels like you.

From a guitar teacher introducing their lessons to a charity helping people find support, a good website has a practical job to do. I design and build bespoke websites from Belfast, working directly with the people behind the organisation.

The useful starting point

Local work you can look closely at.

Belfast is where the studio is based and where several of the projects below began. They show different decisions, rather than one layout reused for every client: how to introduce a person, guide someone towards support or organise a football club’s information.

Make a small business feel personal

Jamie Gordon’s guitar-teaching website puts his voice, lesson choices and direct enquiry routes together. For a business built around a person, that is often more useful than a large site that tells visitors very little about who they will actually work with.

Make important information easy to reach

West Wellbeing’s site balances support information with community updates and fundraising. A charity website needs to help someone find the right next step calmly, while giving staff a sensible structure for the different parts of their work.

Build around the whole organisation

The Newhill FC case study explores fixtures, team information and the work behind a club website. The scope of a platform like that goes beyond the homepage: public information and staff workflows need to be considered together.

Before the first sketch

Start with the next step your visitor needs.

A useful Belfast business website should make a visit, booking, purchase or enquiry straightforward. Before we design it, we work out which of those matters most and what someone needs to know before taking that step.

  • What do you want a new customer or supporter to do first?

  • What are people repeatedly asking by phone or message?

  • Which real projects, photographs or testimonials can show your work?

  • Do visitors need premises, opening hours, access or appointment information?

  • What should your team be able to change without starting another project?

Useful questions

Planning a website in Belfast.

Are you based in Belfast?

Yes. Leviathan Studios is a Belfast-based independent studio, and I’m the person you work with from the first conversation through design, development and handover. A meeting format is agreed around the project; you do not need to arrive with a finished brief.

Can you redesign a Belfast business’s existing website?

Yes. We first look at the pages, content and features that already earn their place. If a rebuild makes sense, we agree the migration and redirect work as part of the scope, with attention to useful existing search pages and contact routes.

Do you work with Belfast charities and clubs as well as businesses?

Yes. The local examples here include West Wellbeing and Newhill FC alongside a solo teaching business. The right approach depends on the people using the website, who will manage it and the public or protected information it needs to carry.

What does a typical website project include?

A focused build usually starts from £4,000 and takes around 6–10 weeks. The agreed scope covers planning, design, development, checks and a practical handover. Bespoke features, content help and ongoing care are discussed before the quote is finalised.

Let’s talk about your Belfast website.

Tell me what you do, who needs to find you and what the website should help with. If you already have a site, include its address and the part you most want to change.
