Independent web design · Derry / Londonderry

Web design for Derry / Londonderry. Ready for a wider audience.

Your website can introduce an organisation rooted in the city while reaching customers and supporters much further away. I’m Jb at Leviathan Studios in Belfast, building bespoke websites and online shops for organisations across Northern Ireland.

The useful starting point

Keep your identity as the website grows.

When a site serves different audiences, languages or types of customer, the structure matters as much as the visual design. We agree what should be shared, what needs its own journey and how your team will keep the information consistent as the website develops.

A clear introduction beyond the city

A visitor who has never heard of your organisation needs context: what you offer, why it is useful and where you can provide it. We can build the pages around those questions, with real work and practical details helping someone decide whether to contact you.

Ecommerce shaped around the catalogue

The useful choices start before checkout: product organisation, size or variant information, delivery coverage and how orders are managed. We agree those requirements around your business, including any external systems the shop needs to work with.

A considered multilingual structure

If more than one language is part of your offer, it needs planning across navigation, content, product information and updates. We can scope language routes and management around the people using the website, with translated content supplied or commissioned as agreed.

Before the first sketch

Decide what your different visitors need.

For a Derry / Londonderry organisation looking beyond its immediate audience, a useful brief separates the customer journeys. A local service enquiry, a product purchase and a supporter looking for information may need different content and different next steps.

  • Who will use the site locally, across Northern Ireland and further afield?

  • Which services or products can each audience actually access?

  • Are multiple languages part of the agreed content and maintenance plan?

  • What catalogue, order or enquiry tools need to connect to the website?

  • Which current content and URLs must be retained during a rebuild?

Useful questions

Planning a website in Derry / Londonderry.

Can we work together if we are based in Derry / Londonderry?

Yes. I work from Belfast with organisations across Northern Ireland and further afield. Discovery, design reviews and handover can be arranged remotely. You have direct contact with the person designing and developing the website throughout the project.

Can you build an English and Irish website?

A bilingual website can be included in the scope. We agree which content and journeys need both languages, how the editor or catalogue should support them and who will provide and maintain the translations. The Grá Duit case study shows an example of bilingual ecommerce work.

Can a shop serve customers outside Northern Ireland?

We can plan the store around your agreed markets and operational requirements, including delivery information, currencies, payment tools and integrations where needed. You define the business policies; the website needs to explain them clearly and support the agreed buying journey.

How do you scope a larger website or shop?

We review audiences, content, catalogue size, integrations and migration before giving a quote. Focused websites usually start from £4,000, while ecommerce or platform projects typically start from £8,000 and take around 10–16 weeks. The written scope sets out what is included and the agreed timing.
